How long will it take to increase my language skills?

Progress depends on many factors : your motivation to learn the language, your prerequisites, your attention during lessons, the time you devote to learning French outside the classroom, your mother tongue, your age...

I try to create a serene and progressive learning environment to improve all your CEFR skills (oral and written comprehension, oral and written production, interaction).

Learning a language takes time, especially when you have to learn the basics of vocabulary, grammar and phonetics...
During the first session, I can present you with a plan for learning French, taking into account your specific needs and the reasons that motivate you to learn French. Book a session so we can discuss it !


Does one of my friend assist the lesson?

Discussion sessions can be held with several learners.

However, I don't accept more than three learners, as I want to ensure that everyone has a discussion time to improve their oral production skills and vocabulary.


How often should I attend sessions with you?

It depends on a number of factors, such as your motivation, your knowledge, the time you can devote each week, your attention span during the sessions...

For discussion sessions, you can choose the frequency of your lessons. It also depends on your project. Do you want to learn to speak because you're going to France in a month's time? I might recommend several sessions a week. Do you simply want to chat to improve the vocabulary you've learnt from books or an app? I'd recommend planning according to your personal wishes.

Should I need anything in particular?

You need

  • a computer (with webcam & micro),
  • an Internet connection.


I provide you with all course materials during the lesson.


Do I have to use my webcam during the sessions?

I recommend that you use your webcam during the sessions so that you can observe your pronunciation and - if necessary - correct it more easily.

Why should I attend a discussion session with you?

Today, there are many ways for users to learn a language (apps, YouTube videos, MOOCs, etc.). However, these tools don't allow you to improve the skills that are most useful for talking to someone in French.

These sessions enable learners to understand and respond to an oral message. They also develop vocabulary and improve pronunciation and prosody.


Who can attend discussion sessions?

Discussion sessions are open to everyone : teenagers, students, adults, workers...

I recommend an A2 level to take part in a discussion session. Vocabulary and strong listening and speaking skills are necessary to be active during the session.


Concretly, what happens in a discussion session ?

When you book your session, you can specify the subject you want to discuss during the discussion session:

  •  preparing for a job interview,
  • preparing for a diploma (DILF, DELF, DALF, TCF),
  • preparing for a trip to France,
  • ...

If you haven't specified a topic when booking your chat session, I'll be happy to talk to you about a variety of subjects.

To do this, I'll suggest a document in French (a piece of music, an extract from a TV series or film, a recipe, a newspaper article, a game...) and we'll discuss it during the session.

The aim is to improve your listening and speaking skills, vocabulary and pronunciation.

After the session, you'll receive a summary of the discussion session with all the documents used, a list of vocabulary and a list of questions to ask.

What does the lesson price include ?

The lesson price includes :

  • lesson time ;
  • preparation and creation of specific material training ;
  • use of materials after the lesson ;
  • a summary of the session after the lesson, specifying which aspects of the language have been mastered, which need to be improved and which must be worked on.
How do I pay you ?

Payment is made when you book your session in the calendar.

Can I book a different time session from one week to another one ?

You can schedule your lessons at a time that suits you best. Just check the times in the diary to see if I'm available.

So you can change the time slot each week according to your personal availability.

Can I reschedule a session ?

If you have planned a lesson and would like to schedule it at a different time, please consult the calendar to check my availability and send me an e-mail. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I cancel a lesson ?

Any lesson can be cancelled. Simply send me a message.

Please note that if you cancel your lesson 24 hours before it is due to take place, no refund will be given.

What if you cancel class at last minute or don't show up ?

That shouldn't happen.

However, if you do not see me joining the session, I will contact you later to offer you another session or a refund.
